This lecture is largely divided into three parts.
The first part briefly covers the history of radio astronomy and explains the core principles of radio interferometry.
In the second and third parts, I introduce the VLBI system and researches using VLBI.

VLBI demonstrates best the advantages and disadvantages of radio interferometry.
The second part covers KVN and EAVN, regional VLBI arrays.

The last part deals with EHT and SKA, global efforts.
