The evolution of massive stars is heavily influenced by mass loss, which can occur due to different factors such as radiation-driven winds and interactions with binary companions in close orbits. One significant outcome of this mass loss is the removal of the hydrogen-rich envelope during the post-main sequence stage, resulting in the formation of naked helium stars or Wolf-Rayet stars. When such stripped-envelope massive stars undergo supernova explosions, they are classified as Type IIb, Ib or Ic. A good understanding on the nature of stripped-envelope SNe would offer important constraints on the evolution of massive stars. In this talk, I will first briefly review massive star evolution towards supernovae. The second half of the talk will focus on examining how observations of stripped-envelope supernovae can be used for constraining theoretical predictions.
